He graduated with a BA in geology and naval science and received a commission as ensign USNR.įollowing his 1947 graduation from Dartmouth, he went to the Philadelphia Museum School of Art, now called the University of the Arts, and graduated in 1951 as an Industrial Designer. He attended Moorestown Friends School, graduated from Lawrenceville School, and was in the Navy V-12 program attending Dartmouth College. He was the son of Mary Spencer and Richard Hollerith and grandson of the inventor Dr. Richard “Dick” Hollerith Jr., born October 4, 1926, in Philadelphia, grew up in Riverton, New Jersey. After Patricia passed in 2002, he then married Jean (Luckhardt) Barclay Robbins on November 3, 2003, who had 4 wonderful children, Richard Barclay, Walter Barclay, Anne Barclay (Nan), and Allison (Barclay) Boyd. After Shirley passed in 1969, he married Patricia (Stockton) Naughton, in 1971, who had 3 wonderful children of her own, Jane Ann (Naughton) Kovacs, John Joseph Naughton III (Jack), and Thomas Michael, Naughton (Tommy). Stratton married Shirley Joan Friday in February 1950 and had 3 wonderful children, Heidi Sigrid Stratton, Roland Pancoast Stratton, III (Sandy), and Jock Kearney Stratton. Stratton was one of the last doctors to do personal house calls to his patients’ homes. He cared for many, many people in Mount Holly and delivered most of their children. ![]() He was the Chief of the Department of Family Practice at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County. ![]() He was a member of the New Jersey Medical Society, the Burlington County Medical Society, the American Academy of Family Practice, Charter Fellow, and Board Certified in 1980. Stratton earned his medical degree from Temple University in 1951 and established his Family Practice in Mount Holly, NJ in 1954.
